qBittorrent official forums

Hello everyone,,,
I'm new to torrenting and qBittorrent is my first foray into file sharing. Running Win 10 and ver. 3.3.16. Downloading has been a snap since I started but uploading has been slow and spotty. Once I found my port wasn't discoverable on Canyouseeme, I went through the process of setting up a static IP and port forwarding. My firewall already has an exception for qbittorrent and now canyouseeme, Can see me on the designated port. Connection light is green and I can DL like crazy (plenty of speed up and down) but peers connect, then almost immediately, disconnect without any data exchange.

This seems like it should be something simple but I can't figure it out. Tried searching this forum but nothing I came across seems to help.

When you say "uploading has been slow and spotty" are you referring to your own uploads (stuff you have and want to share, stuff that you didn't download with qB)? Or are you talking about the upload speed/amount of the stuff you have downloaded with qB?
