Impossibility to install a new Search Engine
« on: April 06, 2011, 11:55:36 pm »
After I downloaded a new search engine plugin from the website List of unofficial search engine plugins, I tried to install the search engine in the usual way. But every time I get the error message, that this search engine plugin can't be installed.  I use the OS Windows XP SP3 on my machine and version 2.7.0 of qBittorrent. Exist here a solution for this problem?

Your problem could be due to not having Python installed.  Try clicking on the search button anyway and you should get a popup asking you if you want to install Python.  Click yes and wait a few minutes and then the install should complete.  Afterwards you should see some default search engine plugins plus you should now be able to install any you want from the link you noted in your post.  ;)

Actually your advice to install python is the solution. I unfortunately missed the "Search"  button at the upper-right of the search engine tab.
