2 questions regarding trackers and search
« on: May 25, 2018, 06:08:04 AM »
Hey everybody, I've been using qBitorrent for over a year now I think, and due to recent problems like high CPU usages and low download rate, I started messing with the settings again.

anyway, i added a bunch of new search sites, and that leads me to my first question. has anyone made a search script for eztv? that site is very useful for tv shows, and I was wondering if it was made. I've searched but did not find anything so I thought I'd ask before learning python to do this myself.

on to my second question, does anyone know of a plugin or something that will look up trackers for torrents? I used to do that manually back in the day, but qBitorrent is so flexible I thought it might be possible to run a script with the md5 of a torrent and find all the relevant trackers for it.

that's all for now, thank you for reading this far and I thank you in advance for your comments.

Unfortunately, qBitTorrent (and libtorrent which qBT uses) doesn't work well at all with lots of trackers loaded at once:
Works bad with big list of trackers    https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/6705
Can't have more than 256 trackers on a given torrent    https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/8468

qBT has a way to add trackers to every newly added torrent, but totally lacks a way to mass-remove dead/useless trackers from torrents.
Tracker tier support is really poor as well, which is necessary for proper multi-tracker support.
