Is hydr0g3n supposed to be stable or bleeding edge or what?
« on: August 20, 2010, 05:28:24 pm »
Hi there,

I'm getting qbittorrent from the hydr0g3n/ppa. Now it's updated me to 2.4.0beta2, but the download page says the latest unstable is v2.4.0rc1, and I don't want it giving me unstable stuff anyway.

I'd like to suggest that there be a stable ppa (to not be stuck with the version in lucid), and a bleeding edge ppa (for people who want all the betas and rcs).

Thanks,

Nev

hydr0g3n ppa is meant to get the most features while ensuring stability. I rarely upload beta releases there. v2.4.0 was kind of an exception because its development cycle was so short and there was really no deep changes that could introduce important bugs. I made a judgement call, don't worry it is meant to be stable.
