Generic / Re: Disappearing peers, unfinished or stalled downloads

The conversion of qBT (from v3.3.16 to v4.x.x) over to libtorrent v1.1.x means some of the new features simply cannot work (or work unreliably) if libtorrent v1.0.11 is used instead.

As for Deluge with ltConfig plugin (or equivalent settings in recompiled qBitTorrent) ...use with caution!
https://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?t=49067
"Right now deluge is uploading two ~120GB torrents with upload speed in 150-200KB/s range - sustained disk read speed is ~5MB/s" (with hints how to avoid that)

LONG message thread about "Connecting to peers takes a long time":
https://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=54560
The solution is to use ltConfig:
"So, that's the problem. If I don't enable High Performance seed it is unable to find to peers properly and If I enable High performance seed it eats my whole bandwidth. Terrible situation."

I want to use qBt 4.1.2 (over webui in Linux server) with libtorrent 1.0.11.
Will it bring me any advantages/disadvantages over current setup with qBt4.1.1 and libtorrent 1.0.11 ?
Of course I want it to seed ! Download is not problem. Maxes out my line usually.

I'm still not upgraded as some private trackers don't allow 4.1.2 yet.

p.s. I have modified some settings in session.cpp (hopefully to force qBt seed more agressively) and compiled it myself. Default value are simply very poor.
I still wish something like ltConfig plugin as for Deluge client were possible with qBt.

Windows / qbittorrent won't close (windows 10- 64bit)
« Last post by Nomad860 on August 19, 2018, 04:31:55 PM »
I'm have the same problem that some Windows 7 user are having. Qbittorrent won't close when either using the menu exit or the x-button. The window will shut but the app remains active in the background. This will not allow windows to shutdown and will not allow Qbittorrent to reopen it window. The only way I found to reopen the Qbit window is to go to "background processes" in "task manager" and kill the Qbit process. I know this is not the biggest problem in the world but it would be nice to find a fix.

There is lowered download speed on Qbt 4.1.2 (libt 1.1.9) doesn't have stable speed as compared to Qbt 4.0.3 (libt 1.1.5).

A dark theme is very important.
Please, can you do it.

And if you give the possibility to the community to do skins, it sould be wonderful.

Thanks.

I don't like the tabbed one because stuff are hidden unnecessarily, where utorrent-like would solve the vertical space problem.
P.S. Where's the poll  ;)

Windows / Re: Option to not show myself in Peers list?
« Last post by gspbeetle on August 19, 2018, 09:14:38 AM »
4.1.2 still show myself 2 time in peer list, one is DNS gate (192.168.1.1) and the other one is my ISP IP.

It seems 4.0.3 already have this.

3.4.0 does not have this issue.

Most likely qt side.
