Windows / Re: False I/O Errors

i haven't seen that behavior at all. when i find a torrent i want i always uncheck everything in it i do not want, and never get the i/o errors. but that's not the issue, the issue is the i/o error messages are erroneous cause there is no hardware failure.

The bug is actually much worse than that. If you have only downloaded a partial set of files from a folder, leech requests for non-downloaded files set this off.

You get a constant string of i/o error messages if the non-downloaded files happen to be popular.

And of course it pauses the entire torrent for no good reason.

for now i have a good workaround and that's hekasoft backup and restore.

Well I mean you could literally just zip up the qBittorrent data folder. You can even use the Windows Scheduler for this. :)

actually with qbt you need the lol and rang folders under the users appdata

Windows / I need to find finished downloads, errored files/folders in my temp folder
« Last post by zpoison on December 12, 2017, 10:50:22 pm »
I have a huge temp folder

So, I will be deleting the files in my temp folder and recheck/restart all the files back.

My question is:

Is there a way/a trick or a software that can help me to locate the COMPLETED files/folders in the temp folder (those who have not been moved correctly)  In order to be able to get them out  before deleting the temp folder
----------------

Any help would be greatly appreciated

EDIT:  I will copy/save the magnets of the torrents in QBT and after that I will delete every torrents with the option checked "delete files on the hard disk"   so the only files/folders remaining in the temp folders will be the ones that are finished but have not been moved

True, but there must be a ticket for this on the Github tracker. There are actually tons of feature qBittorrent could get. :P
I will also try to REALLY fix smaller issues soon-ish. Managed to write a pilot project in Qt, so hopefully glassez won't have a heart attack at my first PR.
