Generic / Extending qBittorrent functionality using plugins
« on: October 08, 2015, 04:47:47 am »
Hi everyone,

I wondering if qBittorrent can extend its functionality using plugins. I know there is a document that explains how to write search plugins , but I would like to write my own plugin to perform some tasks with qBittorrent  WebUI-API output.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

For those who still are using µTorrent, I developed an Android app to manage µTorrent server (Web UI) remotely . It has many of the features provided by the web UI in a native Android application. It's available at Google Play, and It's open source so the code it's available at GitHub and the the latest apk can be downloaded here

It's based in qBittorrent Controller for Android, but developed with specific functions for µTorrent servers.

youTorrent Controller Pro

There is also a paid version called youTorrent Controller Pro, available on Google Play. This version includes a nicer UI, the latest features and fixes of youTorrent Controller for Android and some features only available on youTorrent Controller Pro.

youTorrent Controller (free) vs. youTorrent Controller Pro

Both versions have the same functions for handling µTorrent servers, but the Pro version includes a nicer UI, and the latest features and fixes.

By the way, both versions are published at GitHub, but the apk file for the Pro version will be only available on Google Play.

Enjoy it!

Generic / Is possible to extend the API? API sources?
« on: October 02, 2014, 04:50:35 pm »
Hi all,

I've been developing a client for Android by using the API commands, but I'm wondering if the API can be extended? For instance, it would be nice to ask for just "downloading torrents" instead of get all torrent list and later filter the result in the client side. Also a pagination way would be great, for example, ask only the first 20 torrents, and then 20 more and so on, this way one don't have to wait for a long list of torrents and the response time should be better in low bandwidth networks.

Where is the API sources on GitHub?

Thanks in advance!
