MAC / Complex labels
« on: November 06, 2012, 08:39:38 PM »
The label feature does not allow for special characters.  When appending labels to the save path it'd be great to allow the slash character in order to create deeper subdirectories than the current one layer.  I've considered using symlinks either on the client mac where qBittorrent runs and/or the target UNIX NAS that is the destination for downloads but I can't do what I want to do without being able to specify deeper paths.

Issue/request has been submitted in the tracker.

MAC / v2.9.8 TCP port 0 issue?
« on: May 18, 2012, 03:21:24 PM »
I've tried v2.9.8 several times since it was released and just can't get it to work for me.  It always starts up and won't connect to any open torrents.  The execution log contains the following entry:

<timestamp> - qBittorrent is bound to port: TCP/0

I've tried lots of different ports, using UPnP which has always worked for me, and also explicitly configuring a port in my firewall.  Either method works for v2.9.7 and I can downgrade and things work fine.  I also wiped the config file and started from scratch and received the same results.  v2.9.8 always seems to want to bind to port 0.

I thought for sure that by now I would have seen other reports of this problem or an entry into the bug tracker.  Am I the only one with this problem?

MAC / Problems on Mac OS with > 2.55?
« on: February 27, 2011, 07:25:35 PM »
Anybody else having issues with the latest versions on Snow Leopard?  I haven't pinned down the exact release where the problem started but on current versions I'm having problems connecting to peers and downloading torrents.  If I drop back to 2.5.5 or earlier, using the same preference settings, things take off.  I've looked at all qbittorrent settings as well as router settings and can't find anything to explain this.  Console log certainly has lots of qbittorrent msgs but nothing that would seem to explain this issue.
