Terrorist groups trust Telegram, so that must mean something....
Yeah, that means it's private and secure, but i don't think that will be the case for terrorist anymore https://themoscowtimes.com/news/telegram-to-turn-over-terror-suspects-data-under-new-privacy-policy-62696. I've tried Discord and yeah, it's pretty nice and tidy. Telegram groups -with the right administration- can be pretty orderly fashioned: https://telegram.org/blog/admin-revolution

Windows / Re: Qbittorrent shows my external IP on the Peer list
« on: February 05, 2017, 04:24:04 am »
Today I closed ports on my router, then, activated uPnP/NAT-PMP on qBittorrent, according to canyouseeme.org the desired port is open and i'm not seeing my IP on the peer list anymore.

XX.XX. 67.113 It's my public IP address, i'm not running anything besides qBittorrent, just my browser (chrome) with 3 tabs open (Youtube, qBittorrents Forums and KAT). First time i see this behaviour. I opened port 61720, I'm not sure if i did it correctly, so i uploaded a screenshot of the setup page (4th screenshot in my first post). It also shows up with different clients and ports. Looks like if there were many people on my network downloading the same torrents i'm seeding with multiple PC's and using diferent clients and ports.

Windows / Qbittorrent shows my external IP on the Peer list
« on: February 03, 2017, 06:23:46 pm »
As title says, my qBittorrent is always showing my external (public) IP address in the peer list on every torrent that's being uploaded, this started after opening ports on my router, previously i was using uPnP for port mapping. The port opens normally acording to canyouseeme.org, and people download the torrents i'm seeding without trouble, but my ip keeps showing on the peer list. I don't use proxies or VPN's. I have attached screenshots, 4th screenshot is my router setup page were i opened the port:

4: https://s27.postimg.org/nqg19ohbn/qb4_port_mapping.jpg

I'm using qBittorrent 3.3.10, Qt: 5.7.1, Libtorrent: 10.0.10.0, Boost: 1.62.0. Windows 7 Starter 32 bits. My router is a Huawei HG531 V1.

Hope you can help me, Thanks!

Hi, got the same issue:

qBittorrent: v3.3.6
Qt: 4.8.6
libtorrent: 1.0.7.0
boost: 1.54.0
OS version: Linux Mint 17.3 XFCE (32 bits)

Installed from qBittorrent Stable PPA.

Log says:
8/24/16 5:40 AM - Couldn't load GeoIP database. Reason: Unsupported database file size. 8/24/16 5:39 AM - Couldn't load GeoIP database. Reason: No such file or directory

A Windows user is having the same issue, looks like it's recent.

Seedbox would be the best choice, not seeding back is a no-no. Personally, I'd just swich from ISP ;)

Latest update (3.3.5)  is truly Awesome! It's leaner and cleaner! A BIG Thank You to all the people who make qBittorrent possible!  ;D

REMOVE FEELING OF GUILT FOR PIRATING CONTENT
=============================================

Most people feel bad when they torrent a series or a movie, most people feel bad when torrenting a game, most people feel bad when torrenting anything that has been pirated, and so do many more millions and millions, if not billions of people, for they understand that using a product without paying for it is akin to theft, and most people don't like to think about themselves as thiefs, thus they would have even more motivation to actually mine criptocoins with their PC, for that would be extremely easy and will remove the feeling of guilt.

Sorry, I don't feel that way...
