MAC / Re: [Unofficial] qBittorrent v4.0.2 For macOS
« on: June 05, 2018, 07:56:23 AM »

Just an FYI, but this v4.0.2 still outshines the latest 4.1.1 ... I suspect a bug in libtorrent still, but whatever it is, I can't get 4.1.1 to work with IPv6/IPv4, while this v4.0.2 works "out of the box" ...

The qBittorrent project has released an official 4.0.3 build for macOS: https://www.qbittorrent.org/download.php as such I won't be updating this thread with any unofficial builds. Glad to see they're doing official builds again!

https://github.com/bwrightkc/qbt-mac/releases/tag/v4.0.2

This is an unofficial qbittorrent build for macOS. Compiled on 10.13.1 against qt 5.9.3. I have tested it only on my dev laptop for a few minutes, so I am almost certainly missing something here. Let me know if you have any issues.

MAC / Using IPv6 and IPv4
« on: June 05, 2018, 05:52:58 AM »
G'day all ...

I have qBittorrent v4.1.1 installed and just upgraded my Cable modem to give me both IPv6 and IPv4 networks ... if I go to whatismyip.com, it shows both IPs fine ... if I start seeing a torrent, my tracker shows both IPs ... but, it doesn't show the Port, so can't connect back to me.

If I look at the logs, it shows:

(N) 2018-06-04T20:23:34 - qBittorrent v4.1.1 started

So its trying to listen on the right port, and its finding both external IPs ... but the tracker is only seeing the IPs, not the port ...

If I go into Advanced Settings and bind to the interface that both of the IPs are bound to, the logs then show:

So now it finds the IPv4 IP, and my tracker shows it and the port ... but it doesn't find the IPv6 anymore, and they are both bound to the same interface ...

No matter what I do, I can't seem to get it to bind / announce on both IPv4 and IPv6 .... so I figure I have to be missing something ...

Anyone out there with luck on this?

MAC / Re: [Unofficial] qBittorrent v4.0.2 For macOS

BTW, if an unofficial / bwhite version came out that supported libtorrent 1.1.6 ( specifically: fix IPv6 tracker announce issue ) ... that would be most cool too ... I see that 4.0.2 came out a couple of weeks before libtorrent 1.1.6 ...

Just an appendum to this thread ... it looks like downgrading to 4.0.2 fixes my IPv6 issue too ...

MAC / IPv6 over VPN
« on: January 27, 2018, 08:07:58 AM »

Hi ...

I'm in the process of trying to get a VPN going, and am running into issues with how things are announced ...

The VPN provider provides me with an IPv4 and IPv6 address ... if I use ( to test! ) uTorrent to seed a torrent, the tracker sees my proper / external IPv6 address and port ... if I try to do same thing with qBittorrent, it seems to be announcing my internal IPv6 address with no Port.

I have Listsen on IPv6 enabled in Advanced and 'All Addresses' ... which I believe is what uTorrent must do, as it has no settings for any of this that I can find ...

I'm running latest Mac version of qBittorrent ( 4.0.3 ) ... and everything works beautifully on IPv4 ( Web UI and all ) ... I'd just like to get IPv6 added to the mix, since *someday* my ISP is going to finally adopt it ... maybe.  But, for now, I have it via the VPN, which is just as good ...

Note that I am running on Mac OS X High Sierra ...

Thanks ...

MAC / Web UI logging ...
« on: December 20, 2017, 09:27:35 PM »

I'm having an issue with Web UI ... I'm on a site which provides the ability to have torrents managed remotely ... for instance, I adopt a torrent and can pause it and if someone wants to download it, the remote end connects to my server and restarts the torrent ...

The problem is that the Stop / Start process isn't working, although the connection seems to test properly ...

From what I can tell in the logs that I know of, nothing shows in terms of WebUI interaction, whether I login using a web browser, or test from the remote site ...

Is there some way of turning logging on / increasing the verbosity that isn't found within the Preferences interface?   Even some sort of 'access_log' output that shows what commands were run via the UI would be great for this ...
