All of you reporting Windows 10 fails please subscribe to this bug report:
No need to write "me too" in this thread or on the bug report. Follow the bug report thread. I post custom builds to pinpoint the issue. Once it is resolved you'll find suitable build there.

Here is qBittorrent 4.1.6 built with MSVC 2017.

4.1.6 link->

Libraries's version used:
Libtorrent: 1.1.13
Qt: 5.6.3 (32-bit) / 5.12.2 (64-bit)
Boost: 1.70.0

Windows / Re: Arrow selected
« on: February 17, 2019, 03:05:47 pm »
qbt will always sort by a column. The arrow shows which column it sorts by now. The arrow direction shows the sorting direction (ascending/descending)

The "#" column only shows up if you enable torrent queuing in the program options. It is the queue number of each downloading torrent.

Any of you have compiled qbittorrent under msvc with openssl 1.1.0 or 1.1.1 ? The tutorials are for 1.0.2, and 1.1.x seems to change the process of building it, and the lib names...

Code: [Select]
===openssl 1.1.x===
1. perl Configure VC-WIN64A no-shared zlib no-zlib-dynamic threads --release --openssldir=C:\openssl --prefix=G:\QBITTORRENT\install_msvc64\base -IG:\QBITTORRENT\install_msvc64\base\include -LG:\QBITTORRENT\install_msvc64\base\lib --with-zlib-lib=G:\QBITTORRENT\install_msvc64\base\lib\zlib.lib
3. CFLAGS(end): -O1 -GL -MT /guard:cf

at the end of configure
OPENSSL_LIBS="-llibssl -llibcrypto"

But I encountered crashes with latest Qt5 so I stayed in the 1.0.x series.

Damn, I've a lot of compilation error in session.cpp with 4.1.5, about can't convert libtorrent::string_view' in 'const std::string'... And it fails in the end :/ I'm using libtorrent 1.1.11 as usual...

EDIT : or the master is 1.2, and not 1.1.11 with latest fix...

qBittorrent isn't compatible yet with libtorrent master/RC_1_2/1.2.x series

Qt 5.12 causes qbt to randomly crash during exit for me.
Boost 1.69 doesn't offer something substantial over 1.68 for our use cases.

Windows / Re: qBittorrent trying to access Google?
« on: December 24, 2018, 11:00:25 pm »
It is for the tracker favicons.
If it fails to download a favicon using the tracker domain/ip, it fallbacks to using a google service for that which sometimes has better success.
The url for google is:
Code: [Select]
and the tracker domain/ip is appended to that in order to get a reply

Can't get anything to work, if you get the time can you hammer out a solution? Seems like there's quite a few people online that can't get this working, with uTorrent it's simple.

Can you post a screenshot of how have configured the setting in the Options dialog?
Can you also post the entry of the log? IIRC, each time the external command is invoked, the exact command is printed into the log too.

I expected 'run external program' to work for me now with 4.1.1 to move a completed torrent, but cmd robocopy "%D" "f:/%L/" isn't working for me.
Would really like to see this built in but until then can you provide a command that will succeed with this?

You probably need to pass the /c switch to cmd
Code: [Select]
cmd /c robocopy "%D" "f:/%L/"

Where can I find the changes applicable to 4.1.1 The change log lists everything.

Damn it. There was a hickup with the site update. I'll fix it now. Check the news page again in a few moments.
