that did the trick - it was the favicon for some of the trackers but since its a random name i cant tell what tracker was sending the infected PNG.

Generic / PNG virus detected in qbit Temp folder
« on: October 31, 2018, 03:56:16 PM »
antivirus detects virus in

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\.qBittorrent

seeing some temp files that are PNG icons for the tracker "logo"

there is a PNG exploit and some icons could be loaded with this payload  - any way to disable this tracker logo feature ?

I've used the importing tool from the first post and it moved all of the torrents to qbittorent as "trackerless". Has anyone ran into similar problem?

uTorrent 2.2.1
Win 7 sp1 x64
qBittorent 3.3.4

Did you try the version i posted ?

idk  programming

What is "idk  programming" because whatever you linked to is not available

IDK = i don't know.

The link is from a share on my google drive - odd that's not working for you. Do you want me to upload it somewhere else ?

maybe it's because its a exe file - here i uploaded a rar version .

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1UBcGJqDzc5RjlzV1BmaEVOT1E/view?usp=sharing

i was just getting errors when running the original file in the post and after reading the thread i installed ruby and compiled a version from navajo's fix - also when compiling the script was giving me some errors so i had to replace some paths regarding the location of the files for it to work (hence idk programming  - could have possibly compiled it without having it run and check stuff but thats way beyond my ruby understanding  - i just lookded at the compiler errors and fixed the paths so it would compile and run on my machine)

anyhow - maybe this fix works for others as i doubt i was the only one looking for a transfer solution or a working exe - just looking to help others ;)

also you can run it like this
ut2gt.exe %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\resume.dat %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\qBittorrent\BT_backup\  - to avoid having to fill in your username path and it should not matter where you installed the torrent clients or what is your windows system drive

TriAnMan: Guys, I've fixed the thing - there was a problem with announce-list items.
Take the code here: https://gist.github.com/Cyberthing/cb49cc19cc5609f3db61

Thanks for the fix!
I'll update the first post as soon as I have some time.

since no update on first post i compiled it - it worked for me

idk  programming or anything but something wouldn't compile when used in the paths presented in the script so i had to use my filepath  - hope this works

tested from utorrent 226 to qbt 334

still same usage as in original post
