I agree, but I just keep my .torrent files all in one spot and clear them out manually every so often. It's not that difficult to manage them honestly.

no said was difficult to manage the .torrent files.

i haven't seen that behavior at all. when i find a torrent i want i always uncheck everything in it i do not want, and never get the i/o errors. but that's not the issue, the issue is the i/o error messages are erroneous cause there is no hardware failure.

for now i have a good workaround and that's hekasoft backup and restore.

Well I mean you could literally just zip up the qBittorrent data folder. You can even use the Windows Scheduler for this. :)

actually with qbt you need the lol and rang folders under the users appdata

you're moving the files before removing them from qbt would be my guess. i ran across this yesterday. if you're interested in commenting i just created a thread about the issue.

google how to turn off smartscreen. really not needed.

can you fix qbt not to give a i/o error when it can't find files? i moved several files yesterday without removing them from qbt and got repeating i/o errors. i quickly realized what was going on but not before almost having a stroke thinking the drive was failing. when we move files and forget to remove them from qbt first all qbt should be telling us is it can't find the files, and only on the main interface NOT passing that information to windows notifications.

When deleting downloaded files, it will be fine to delete .torrent files (for this torrent) too.

agree 1,000%
