Windows / Unable to add search engines
« on: November 25, 2018, 03:52:25 am »
I did install Python which was offered to me by qBittorrent 4.1.4 (64-Bit) when I clicked on the Search tab but no matter what search engine I try to add it doesn't work.

Has anyone been successful in doing this and how?

Just tried with Tixati, it also is unable to remember that it's the default magnet handler. I think this is a Chrome bug

Same here, I was just about to make a new thread about this but then saw your thread. Now it never remembers that I've want qBittorrent as the default magnet link handler and I have to choose open with qBittorrent for every magnet link that I click on. Please fix this.

Windows / Re: How to stop left pane folder from expanding?

nope, just tried then, closed the window. The moment I double click the torrent from qBittorrent, it opens explorer with the left pane expanded not only Computer (This PC) is expanded, but it expands all the way to the SD Card / the folder of that download...... :(

Using the latest Windows 10 Redstone 3, happened even before with Redstone 2

I never had these problems with Windows 7 but now I have to use Windows 10 due to my laptop not being compatible with Windows 7

I will test this when im at home (using mobile at the moment) and will reply later on. Need to see and confirm it for myself first so we are sure what causes this :P.

Thank you very much as this is really bugging me on a constant basis everytime I open a downloaded file (or even if you set qBittorrent to open the folder when it is downloading, same behavior. I have set qBittorrent to open the folder if I double click on it rather than the usual start/stop torrent behavior)

Cheers

Oh no, I mean let's say I'm downloading a torrent, a movie for example. Once it completes, if I double click on it, qBittorrent will open that folder in the Windows Explorer, but in the left pane, where you have the Quick Access shortcuts on the top, then Computer (This PC) under it, which is usually collapsed, when I open that file/folder with qBittorrent it would take me there but then the Computer items are all expanded so it shows me all my drives which are a lot and I don't like this behaviour.

I have checked all my explorer settings and they all show that I have not selected to auto expand to the current folder so I believe this behavior is caused by qBittorrent as they only auto expand when I open anything from qBittorrent

This is driving me nuts, the left pane items auto expand randomly to show all the drivers in Computer for example.

I then collapse them again, but after a while they expand again.

How can I stop them from ever expanding?

I'm not sure what's causing this as on a fresh install this doesn't happen, I have a feeling when I install qBittorrent, after a file is downloaded for example and I double click on it to show it in its downloaded folder, that's when the left pane items auto expand
