Re: To all you delicate souls, ... ...

Re: Prioritize rechecking by torrent size in ascending order

and I've noticed that if I restart Windows while qBittorrent is running, it apparently doesn't properly shut down (even though I don't do the "force close"),
If you shut down the OS without closing the client first it is still a 'force close' as far as qbittorrent/libtorrent is concerned.

Re: Optimizing qBittorrent For Speed (v3.3.4)

I dont understand the divide them by 8.
Eight bits in a Byte

ISPs measure speeds in bits per second (b/s)

Re: Save path in Web ui

Same as in the GUI,

Options -> Downloads

You will have to know the path to the folder, because you cannot 'browse' server locations over HTTP.

Re: Upload speed drops

that utorrent protocol is multithreaded No idea, uTorrent is closed source so we have no access to find that out for sure. But you can use [url=https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx]Process Explorer{/url]  to examine what threads are active and what process is using or wait...

Create one yourself and upload it.

Tell the tracker operators why you are doing it and the problems you are having.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Data Networking and Telecommunications. I have designed data networks for Cisco, Boeing, Northrup Grumman, to mention a few. So, what I say comes from my education. So why are you asking WHY a piece of software that simply uses whatever network connection that you m...

when I'm watching movie or creating torrent? Neither of those are remotely connected to the qbittorrent cache which is a separate entity to the system caching, yes it uses the same hardware (RAM) but the two do not interact especially once the OS cache  is bypassed. but the speed always drops with ...

that LPD is its intended purpose. You are quite correct in that conclusion, Local Peer Discovery (LPD)/Local Service Discovery(LSD)  is intended to connect to peers that are 'local' to your external IP, and 'Local' in this instance means "Local within your Internet Service Provider's (ISP)   netmas...

Re: Upload speed drops

the buffer size in Statistics is almost the same size like when OS cache is enabled As on would expect, the required "size" does not change, only the mechanism of handling the cached items changes. How exactly works that buffers and OS cache. The memory cache is there for holding the 16 kB blocks o...
