Re: This torrent is private - cannot download

You have an issue with the private site. Are you a member of that site? The torrents that you get from there will have a unique thing that ID's it as **your** torrent. If your torrent gets out in the wild (ie via assorted work-arounds of enabling DHT, PEX, etc --- like editing the torrent file, or c...

Re: Why does share ratio decrease when rechecking?

It's math in action:   The amount uploaded is a sorta fixed known number. The math looks at how much you have available to compare to that uploaded amount. When you recheck, it starts verifying what you have available The ratio math sees that "available" increasing as it gets verified. 100...

What happened to "last activity"?

:o  I have no idea of what the 4x version is doing with this --- I am unable to figure out what it is actually timing. "Back in the day" of 3x, I used it for torrent management. Long periods of time with no activity was a pretty reasonable indication of zero interest in the particular torr...

I like qBittorrent because it allows me to download torrents through my VPN without turning my VPN on system wide.

Re: What do the numbers in parenthesis next to seeds and peers mean?

The available as estimated by trackers thing does not seem to match what I am seeing:

I have 100s in parenthesis -- and considerably less adding all the peers together.
Is it possibly a track record of how many have *ever* been in the swarm?
Your external IP has probably changed, and libtorrent needs to restart to connect to peers and trackers.
By the time I notice the message --- I usually see nothing wrong (as in transfers are cooking). I have a few ways to watch the IP thing (OpenDNS, a torrent...

"qbittorrent needs to be restarted"

I see this once in a while at the lower left corner -- with nothing obviously wrong staring in the face.  :o What is the underlying problem that is bringing this thing on? Is there a hidden something that can just go ahead and do it (restart the program) when needed? Is there anything I can do in my...

Re: Qbittorrent won't work

I went through all that with the current "stable" releases also -- same crash report/ bug (reported).  Note that the last time I looked, the reports had the same app failure -- and Intel Core 2 Duo processors. Note your crash report was cut short before the hardware part.  :'( qBittorrent ...

Re: qBittorrent 3.1.9 for Mac, compiled and ready to use.

Downloaded 3.1.9 and removed the translations folder (no lprojects?).  Grabbed a torrent, moved destination, searched, force checked, loaded IP filters,  --- all seems fine. MacMini early2009, Mavericks. Update -- after a few hours of running --- "qtorrent needs to be restarted" appeared o...
