Re: Paused Torrents Un-Pause Upon Restart

"Resume all" really means "Resume all", it does not mean "Resume all torrents I have previously manually paused (with pause all)". With this in mind, I don't think there is anything wrong with the current behavior. Didn't say it is wrong, but unintuitive. The one function does not complement the ot...

Re: Paused Torrents Un-Pause Upon Restart

1a.I did not use Resume All frequently, many years ago when I was a uT user, but I did use it occasionally. I don't use it at all on qB, because it will Resume everything and I have adapted to avoiding Resume All. It's not a critical feature, but it would be nice to have. 1b. I don't pause torrents ...

Re: Paused Torrents Un-Pause Upon Restart

Having said the above, I can understand how separate Pause/Stop functions might confuse some users. Don't get me wrong, qB is brilliant. The best. Few real-life examples of "Stopped" torrents the user wouldn't want to start with "Resume All". 1. Huge torrents with disk space implications that are be...

Re: Paused Torrents Un-Pause Upon Restart

Ok, sorry for misreading the OP's post. You also failed to read mine though. I specifically mentioned I'm not questioning anything about peer connections, yet you bring up Wireshark, data transfers etc. claiming yet again "this is functionally equivalent to uTorrent's stop button". But this was neve...

Re: Paused Torrents Un-Pause Upon Restart

I'm on Windows, but you can't do that. On Github, Stop requests are being denied because " qBittorrent's 'pause' is like uTorrent's stop ". This is false, because on uTorrent stopped torrents are NOT resumed with the Resume All function. Only Paused ones are being resumed. Obviously, this has NOTHIN...

Re: File selection square box also detects priority?

Any thoughts? This still looks wrong.

(thanks for the very nice 3.3.9 update btw)

Re: How to use "set location" function to move torrents to new location

Thanks for the detailed info. Just a question before I attempt this, when source/destination folders are on the same drive, will the Move operation essentially be an instant relocation (as happens in File Explorer for example when moving files/folders on the same drive) or it will actually copy/past...

File selection square box also detects priority?

Hello, I'll try to be clear since I'm not sure I'm using the correct terms. If I start a new download, select all of the torrent's files to be downloaded, but change the download priority on some of them, the box that indicates whether all, some, or none of the files have been selected (for download...

Re: No direct connections - network interface defined is invalid

Thanks, that option was the problem. It was set to "Teredo...". Switching to Ethernet fixed it.

Re: No direct connections - network interface defined is invalid

I recently reinstalled Windows 10 and used both Local/Roaming/qBittorrent folders I've copied from the previous installation. Maybe that can cause such an issue?

Re: No direct connections - network interface defined is invalid

Have no idea. There's nothing particular network-related in my Windows 10 x64 system. The usual, motherboard-integrated Realtek network adapter.

No direct connections - network interface defined is invalid

I am always getting the yellow/no direct connections icon. This appears every 1-2 minutes in the log: The network interface defined is invalid: {04153E2A-23F8-4EF8-929F-6966477E89F6} Downloading works fine at full speed, not sure if uploading works correctly. The correct port is manually set on both...

"Resume all" problem and why Stop would be helpful

Using qB again and like it, it's been greatly improved. After a quick search, it seems 'Pause' is considered the same as 'Stop'. However, if I manually Pause one or more torrents, and then Resume All from the tray icon (Windows version) everything starts, including the torrents I manually "stopped"....
