Re: Regular crashes in 4.1.4

4.1.4 also for me is really bad, nearly unusable. It crashes out of the blue sky, more often than 4.1.3 (which also crashed often, but not that frequently). Nearly thought I'm the only one... but there are no more reports on github (crash info can't be read and is white usually, so I can't help). It...

[quote="steakhutzeee"] [quote="Killua"] Today I closed ports on my router, then, activated uPnP/NAT-PMP on qBittorrent, according to canyouseeme.org the desired port is open and i'm not seeing my IP on the peer list anymore. Re: qBittorrent won't start on Windows XP

That is really weird. Did you install python? Not sure if qbt won't start without it, but you'd see a message if the version isn't right. Which antivirus are you using? Did you change the path for the installation? For a beginning, look for the LOG of qbt, and perhaps of your antivirus. Logging of q...

Re: A few questions after switching to qBittorrent

Hello, just did away with uTorrent and have a few questions: Welcome! 1)How can I set qBittorrent to remember last file path set in the last "add torrent"-dialoge window without having to tick the checkbox every single time I change folders? Which checkbox? Default Save Path can be selected in Opti...

Re: Just switched from utorrent, is the upload arrow ment to be yellow?

Welcome!
The green arrow down and yellow arrow up don't change color. The green plug in bottom center should be green (changes to some yellow icon for a while, e.g. when you changed the port; click on it and you'll get right into settings).

Re: V4.04 ignoring upload speed limit

Thanks, Switeck.

Back on 4.0.4:
Turned off 'Apply rate limit to transport overhead', switched to 'uTP only', limited upload for some few torrents...
...and guess what: upload limit is respected.

Now I can't find which option caused maxing out the upload. Weird.

Re: V4.04 ignoring upload speed limit

@Switeck: To which settings are you referring to? Enabled protocols (in 'Connection')? Or Rate Limits Settings (in 'Speed')? I had to go back to 4.0.3, because 4.0.4 was seeding at max speed (limit set, not obeyed), leaving not any bandwidth for dowloads. Your post sounds like qbt can't control spee...

Re: Downloads not restarting after internet reconnect

[quote="Sshaun_10"] Changing the listening ports doesn't seemed to have helped. Tried turning off the VPN killswitch and that didn't work either. It's really frustrating because my PIA disconnects and reconnects multiple times a day. Maybe I should just change VPN providers? I really don't want to s...

Re: Help: Deleting Folder

Hi Keiji, so, the torrents remain in qbt's list? qbt will try to download all files again, as this is the task for qbt. You could move them to the final destination with right mouse-click on the torrent in the list, 'Set location'. It may take a while. The LOG will show you the selected destination,...

Re: Downloads not restarting after internet reconnect

For some reason, qbt or libtorrent is checking torrents all the time and reading huge amounts of data, even paused torrents. Sounds like qBT bugs honestly. Often very difficult to tell, except for arvidn or sledge and some others DEEP inside the sources. It doesn't sound exactly like some force rec...

Re: Downloads not restarting after internet reconnect

[quote="Sshaun_10"] I have qBittorrent and PIA, with the killswitch enabled and my qBittorrent linked to the VPN network interface, so whenever my VPN disconnects (which is usually 2-3 times per day) my qBittorrent stops downloading immediately. However when the VPN reconnects, my downloads do not r...

Re: [official]qBittorrent 3.3.11 installer - Built with MSVC 2015

Could someone explain this to me (new in v3.3.11): BUGFIX: After files relocate, don't remove the old folder even if it is empty. (Chocobo1) So, there will be empty folders left, after the payload has been moved to a new location. But why should one want to leave the empty folder in the old location...
