How to make theme work on GTK-based DE?
I have tried Q on Ubuntu 22 with Gnome and XFCE. The result was the same: Q does not follow the system theme. So, even when the system theme is dark, Q is white. Back when Q was using QT5, installing some qt5- package solved this issue, but now that Q is using QT6, I have tried installing things lik...

Re: Desktop UI (QT) to connect to local/remote nox instance?
Because they use a so-called RPC protocol. ... pros and cons I guess. Should QBT's not using RPC be the inherent limitation why its desktop UI cannot connect to another instance (i.e., NOX on the same machine)? I now know that it is currently not possible from your replies, but to me, it seems more...

Desktop UI (QT) to connect to local/remote nox instance?
Is it possible? If not, how about implementing that feature? The Web-UI is not as good as the full desktop UI, because it lacks features that the desktop UI has. But I do not always need to watch the desktop UI and the desktop UI consumes a lot of system resources. It would be great if only Nox (hea...

Re: Qbitorrent 4.4.2 keeps crashing
I'm having same problems. I open the torrent file. Click Ok. Then it just hangs and doesn't respond. Reverting back to 4.4.1 and it works fine with same torrent file.

Re: Qbittorrent makes router crash
@FranciscoPombal "Get a new router" - what a weak suggestion!! Indeed it is your settings. Most ISP-provided or low-end routers get overwhelmed with too many connections. Even though you've reduced your connection settings, reduce them some more. Try with these (and try the lower to be saf...

Forbid certain characters like ':' for file path?
qBittorrent creates a subdirectory using the path string in the torrent itself. But this sometimes causes problems. For example, on Linux, you can create a directory that has ':' in its name, but not on Windows. So, if the qBittorrent creates a subdirectory whose name contains ':' on Linux, this pat...

Preallocate preference and sparse .!qB files...
Here we go again... Couple of minutes ago I did the following to one multifile torrent in my qB 4.3.3: stopped partially downloaded torrent from seeding deleted the existing files (was previewing tv show season this way) deselected the files above from the torrent selected the remaining files in the...

Possibility to change from MiB/s to mbit/s?
Hello everyone, in my country (and from what I know, in most countries within Europe) the general used units for network speed it "mbit/s" or "kbit/s". Basically "megabit" instead of the currently by qbittorrent used "mebibyte". Is there any chance we could ge...

Color and Font size
The font size is small, how about a user option to adjust size?
The white interface causes eye strain. How about an option to invert the UI color scheme?

Move all torrents from 4TB drive to new 12TB drive without re-check?
Hello everyone, I am on Archlinux with the lates qBittorrent and will upgrade my 4TB drive with an 12TB drive. By doing that I want to move all my content from the 4TB drive to the new 12TB drive and then re-start the torrents without re-checking them all. Is that somehow possible? I am asking becau...

Re: Feature Request: Download a chosen range of packets (PLEASE!)
entirely possible the ISP charges much more for it's higher data quota tiers than the cost of four separate plans I'd say it is very unlikely because otherwise is against the base principle of economy - when you buy more you get a better price. The similar reason stands against the floppynet transp...

Re: Feature Request: Download a chosen range of packets (PLEASE!)
Subham is NOT talking about torrent clients in a LAN setting with a shared WAN. I didn't talk about that as well. I talked about Subham and all of his friends using their own dedicated WAN links. Presumed there are 4 friends and quota is 1GiB they all get up to 4GiB each (breakdown: 1GiB from WAN p...

Re: qBittorent Privacy Focused Guideline
Well, it is really too broad topic and it applies to bittorrent protocol in general, so you can read any non client specific privacy guideline thoroughly and then ask how to implement a specific counter-measure. Remember, when bittorrent protocol was designed nobody cared about privacy at all. There...

Since that is unlikely what you have modem in 2020, I'd suspect UPnP issue, try to disable it.

Select just "added" torrent even it is duplicate
Hello! Please make qB to select the torrent of interest which just was added (even thru file or link) even it is already in qB's list. Currently qB just presents a message box about duplication and announcer merging (with name, thankfully) and user have to locate given torrent manually. It would be ...
