Re: Encryption question

With the protection of your IP or identity in mind such won't help. You're not caught during the transfer but by advertising the content you can share. The swarm is the common reference to the pool of available peers, and as you try to seed you're connectable. And the advertised IP will be the one o...

Re: Encryption question

Hi,

Only the header. This will not protect you regarding illegal content and is more historical: back in the past some ISP applied throttling on such headers and this was the workaround. Not really useful nowadays

Re: qbittorrent 4.2.5 fast to download and slow to upload

Hi, Seeding is always harder and many factors influence it. - Is the newtork setup correctly done? Prefer the manual port setup and port redirection on your router vs relying on the uPNP - if VPN in use, does it support port forwarding - How many seeders on your torrent? The more you see the more yo...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Add (Tracker) STATUS Column to main program

Hi, You have a list of all torrent with tracker issue in the trackers section list: Trackers>Error Any torrent with single or multiple trackers issue will be displayed there. You need of course for the last one enable the announce to all tiers to make it relevant. This may help you up to a possible ...

Re: Regular internet drop when downloading

Hi, The download speed drops to 0 but the Internet access is fine, yes? If so I would say to check the disk activity of the device where QBT is running. This is typical to a memory flush to disk and the most obvious way to check is the queue depth of the concerned drive. You can see i ton windows by...

Re: qbit shutdown randomly

Hi,

Dodging the obvious first: is anything configured in QBT>Tools>on download done?
If not, what tells you the windows event viewer>application? Have you checked the AV logs ?

Re: Problem after moving download folder.

Hi, Torrent (and files management) should be done directly in QBT interface. You moved the files, now QBT does not find them in the referenced location. The fastest way to no loosing upload time is -stop QBT and put back your files to original location -start QBT. Possible you may have to force rech...

Re: Continued Issues with qB - UPDATE!

Tell me about it...on my current 1080 (old I know) I'm one of the rare people on earth (so far I look) having the screen stay off (no signal) once the power saving shut the video signal. It happened rarely but there was nothing possible than a shutdown so solve it. It happens with NVIDIA 10x0 connec...

Re: Continued Issues with qB - UPDATE!

Hi, I'm running it on a different platform, but certainly modest compared to your setup. The version 4.3.5, 6, and last 7 run fine so far I can tell. At first glance your symptoms seems to be related to memory or disk congestion. Does it comes by time or is this directly when you open QBT? Some hint...

Re: New to qBittorrent - some basic questions

Hi,

Some hints as you mention multiple trackers and non responsive ones:
- change the DNS servers on the device running QBT (Cloudflare, or else)
- configure the inbound port >50000
- in preferences>advanced check the below
Always announce to all tracker in a tier
Always announce to all tiers

Re: Qbittorrent not loading the web ui properly (not showing any torrents)

@spalago So this is the WebUI pointing to the local host? The full client is installed or do we speak about the NOX version? What are the content of the logs through SSH? With a different browser and in private mode? (just to exclude some stuff) And I guess no local FW or else avoiding any content o...

Re: qBT "steals" all my bandwidth when in use. Load balancing available?

Hi, Both computers are slow or only the one with QBT? IT will help determine if the 4G router is the problem or the USB driver for RNDIS (for example). Both bandwidth and number of connection can be related to such. May you try to reduce in the QBT preferences the total number of connections to some...

Re: Can I seed files that have been renamed and moved?

Is duplicating the file an option?

I see no easy way for your request but if the space is not an issue you can duplicate the downloaded folder (left untouched for seeding purpose) and work on a copy elsewhere. Sort/rename/move is then no more an issue (but storage well).

Re: Can I seed files that have been renamed and moved?

Hi and welcome Yes this is possible. You can rename file(s), folder(s), and move torrent to another location BUT all need to be done through the QBT interface. This is valid for any Bittorrent client. If you change anything at the filesystem level (explorer) it will be in error in QBT and no longer ...

Re: Qbittorrent not loading the web ui properly (not showing any torrents)

So the Web UI is well loaded with menus, but no torrent shown. Are the filters "all" well selected for all? (status, trackers, etc.).
At least 4 of them should be on "all" to display all If I'm not wrong.

Does the error log shows anything?
