Re: New to QBittorrent

It seems the root cause I agree
Did you set a fix IP on the computer hosting QBT and reuse this IP in the port forwarding section of the router?

Re: Excessive read speed when seeding, 5-10x upload rate

replying two months later :) From what i found out the libtorrent cache is also being used for any random reads which aids in seeding. The OS cache is in Linux mostly used for writes. So it is wise to use a combination between the two, i would say at least 256 mb + OS cache enabled. I'm using 1-2 g...

Re: Not Connectable

At a first glance nothing, but other variables may come like restriction from your provider. I would suggest: - upgrade to the last QBT version to get rid of any libtorrent bugs - Review the Win10 internal FW inbound rules: did you create an inbound rules based on port only, and for all profiles (do...

the dot prior the folder means hidden, so you need to use "ls -al" to get them displayed.

Re: Qbittorrent-nox linux server Ubuntu 20.04 migration

Hi, Not yet faced such situation but I used to migrate stuff the way you want. The A disk should contains the QBT setting, preferences, etc in folder you can retrieve here: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/wiki/Frequently-Asked-Questions#Where_does_qBittorrent_save_its_settings So after a ...

Re: Not uploading

@sharp90br It doesn't seems to related but you can always change your DNS for Cloudflare or similar to get rid of ISP limitation. The Torrent protocol is build to connect to the fastest peers, including the peers handshake so except if you have a competitive connection this should be part of the pro...

Re: WIN Server 2019 Hibernate

Hi, Well I guess the hibernate is not foreseen for such a program more intended to run as ling as the session is alive/all the time. Anyway no direct solution but maybe a hint: why not closing QBT and make the hibernate with a script? A proper way to close a program in Windows is "taskkill /IM ...

Re: upload problem...

you can always post your logs in this topic. I'm not sure which settings will ever cause such behaviour but check
- your version (last? nothing in the bug tracker related?)
- encryption settings in your client. Try to disable it if enable

I'm not sure what else can "select" only qbt client.

Re: WebUI cant logon in Firefox

it should not be problematic, but your description let me think more about caching issue.

Try with FF in private mode. If not working clear cache and credential for the concerned site.

Re: [REQ] Is there a way to add new torrents (with new Trackers) to an existing torrent

Hi, Cross seeding by adding tracker to a multiple torrent is very dangerous on an private tracker. Depending the configuration (update all or one tracker only for example) you may be banned for cheating (wrong info sent to the tracker update). My personal advice: recreate the torrent with a differen...

Re: Torrent i downloaded and I am seeding only uploads every minute or so

Old version, have you tried wit a 4.3.x to confirm it's not version related (if not only with this torrent) Can you also confirm you're well connectable from outside (avoid relying on UPNP and prefer the port forwarding option), not behind VPN/proxy I see only one peer connected on 3xx, which is ver...

Re: Use qBittorrent purely as a tracker

Hi, Direct peer to peer is possible with the torrent protocol if you enter the peer address manually: one QBT with the file on the machine should be able to server another client on the web if this last one enter your public IP/torrent address manually. But this is not really something this way you ...
