Re: Why not make 3.4 become 4.0?
What does it matter which number it has.. Its known that every new number behind the 3 is a major update. In this case 3.4.x jumping from 3.3.x, next will be 3.5.x. I see no reason why it should change really.
It seems from today's news, it actually will become 4.0.

Guys guys guys.

The last five years 3.0.x, 3.1.x, 3.2.x and 3.3.x were all major versions in their respect.
It's just numbers. Like Firefox/Chrome do, but on another scale :P

Are we syncing version numbers with uTorrent?

Re: Where is the new beta and how do we test it ?

Anybody else feel like this could be called a 4.0 release? 3.x is already 5 years old.

You like the sound of "Firefox 51" "Chrome 64" huh. Personally i don't care so i don't vote.

Those versions go up every 6 weeks. qBittorrent hasn't had a version number go up in 5 years. Bad analogy.

Re: Why not make 3.4 become 4.0?
From what I've read on github concerning bugs in qBitTorrent (and its core libtorrent), I don't want qBitTorrent v4.0 to be as buggy as qBT currently is. If there's going to be a lot of fan-fair over qBT 4.0, it better NOT be something I easily crash in <5 minutes running. (due to c...

Re: [official]qBittorrent 3.3.15 installer - Built with MSVC 2017

Hey, sledgehammer_999. Have you considered just bumping the 3.4 beta to version 4.0? Version 3.0 came out almost 5 years ago to this day. Maybe with the amount of changes in the upcoming 3.4 beta, we can finally call this 4.0? I've made a poll about this in the suggestions forum if anybody wants to ...

Why not make 3.4 become 4.0?

3.0 came out almost 5 years ago to today's date. Are we going to spend another 5 years updating the 3.x series? 3.4 will have a new look, new torrent creation elements, new major version of libtorrent, and quite a bit more from the looks of the issues page. How about we call the next version 4.0? It...

Don't use SF anymore. A lot of people don't trust SF after the adware scandal. You will just hurt qBittorrent's adoption rate. Stick to Github or something better than Github.
Even a private flagged torrent may not be very private if the only tracker on it is a public tracker and it's listed by a couple indexers.
Yes, it is odd how most if not all public trackers don't seem to reject private flagged torrents automatically so they all use DHT.

Re: like the big bad wolf qbittorrent blows my internet connection almost down

Why is your number of connections so high? Nobody needs 1000 connections unless they torrent by the thousands and have a router that can handle that many connections, and your router clearly can't handle it. Lower it to something reasonable like 200, and lower your connections per torrent to 20 or l...
