Re: Is this qBittorrent release safe ?

Unfortunately, there is no way we will ever know if that release is "safe" or not. Anti-virus engines can scan for some patterns, but they can miss the most obvious stuff too. And "reverse engineering" with such a huge piece of software is a nightmare - it's practically impossibl...

Re: Insufficient Space on Disk error

Could be permissions issue. If you reinstalled your PC and you use an external drive, or second HDD or whatever, you have to fix permissions.

Re: Multiple destination email addresses for notifications?

You could set up a Mailcow or Postfix rule that would simply forward an incoming email to multiple targets. But this should be pretty simple to implement (should be). I will check out if it is when I get some time... Keep in mind though... - I am no code contributor, so my PR could be so trash they ...

Re: Exporting torrents + configuration

qBittorrent stores all its settings in

Code: Select all

%APPDATA%\qBittorrent
and

Code: Select all

%LOCALAPPDATA%\qBittorrent
folders. You can save those and copy them to the same place on the new PC.

See: https://www.qbittorrent.org/news.php "qBittorrent v4.3.4.1 was released. WINDOWS: Windows Defender is being incredibly annoying lately marking us as unwanted software/malicious/trojan/virus. If you experience problems with the installer not starting or not finishing, check that Defender ha...

Re: How can I begin contributing?

Hey, sorry for the late reply. You can contribute even by just helping out people here, on Discord, or on the Github tracker. Translating the program into your native language is another helpful thing you can do. The main communication is IRC - but I am not sure about the traffic there. Ever since I...

Just put -1 there and then you have no limit. :)
Or input 0, then press the down arrow and it becomes an infinite symbol.
Both works. Enjoy.

Well, a new version was released recently, but if you check the Changelog, there is no change like that: https://www.qbittorrent.org/news.php

Are you SURE nothing changed on your side?

Re: problems with metadata and download speed

Your port forwarding is NOT okay. You need to open a static port to your PC from your router. Also if you use a software firewall, you MUST allow qBittorrent. You need to be an active, connectable peer to be able to use magnet links, to share properly, etc.

Re: How to update qbittorrent-nox on arm64 Debian?

PPA is for Ubuntu, not Debian.
But I found a thing like this, just a few hours ago.

https://github.com/userdocs/qbittorrent-nox-static

You may want to check that one out.
(I use Qt/desktop so not much use for me.)

Re: qBittorrent can't launch

So even if you wipe qBittorrent and ALL it's settings (mind you, there is a folder both in %APPDATA% and %LOCALAPPDATA%) it just won't run? Are you sure you were not using two monitors and maybe it's opening on the second screen? Could you check the memory usage of the qbittorrent.exe process when t...

I don't know, for me, libtorrent fails at the compilation step with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Configuration is all good.
