Re: not enough RAM being used?

I neglected to add that qBittorrent's functioning survived while I was also playing an hour long YouTube video, editing a 50 minute audio file in Audition, and for shits & grins also playing a video in VLC in the background, just to see any stress. Thanks, again, Peter! Glad to hear that! I hop...

Re: How to refresh a completed Search?

Yeah I've tried but I don't think this functionality exists.
But the ticket already exists: https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/15599

You can star the issue to show that you are interested as well.

Re: not enough RAM being used?

Oh you can go wild lol. Put 2048 even, it's fine. The M1 / Intel version could also differ on how they are built. I am not sure how the team produces the current binaries, but I've looked into even just renting a virtual mac and it is SO EXPENSIVE it makes testing a real pain. Tried to run a virtual...

Re: not enough RAM being used?

You can go into advanced settings and set disk cache to whatever.
It's used for reads and writing too, mind you. But you can increase/decrease it according to your needs.

Re: сan't build qbittorrent error on make - address_v4::broadcast(socket->local_endpoint(ec).address().to_v4()

As qBittorrent is dependent on Qt, libtorrent, you should ask this over at Gentoo's forum IMO. On Gentoo everything matters too. Like what flags you've used, your make.conf, your profile, etc. So when you do the post, include all those information too. OR, you can use a static build. https://github....

Re: How to complete the download of files

1) On the trackerslist Github site, pick a list. I just go with "trackers_all.txt" usually. Once open, click raw button to get a copy-able list. Like such: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ngosang/trackerslist/master/trackers_all.txt Copy it all out to clipboard (CTRL+A to select it all, ...

Re: How to complete the download of files

Maybe there are no peers to seed the torrents to you fully? I mean, this is what it sounds so far.. oO

If its a public torrent, you can always add more trackers.

Re: How do I enable deleting files to recycle bin?

That post talks about waiting with the implementation. As you can see the ticket is still open, there has been no progress on the topic. The developer explained why it'd be problematic to implement. It'd add another bunch of code to the already huge codebase that someone would have to maintain again...

Re: Stopped working, all trackers show Permission Denied

And if you disable the proxy, does it work?
If you are worried about p2p laws, just add a Debian/Ubuntu ISO torrent and test with that (while pausing the rest).

Re: How to complete the download of files

- If you click Peers on the bottom, do you see a lot of people with 100%? (Ie.: Do people even have the 100%?)
- If you check Defender's "Protection History", do you see anything?

Can you somehow check crashes on Mac? Kinda like how you can check a blue screen on Windows?

Re: Webui not working with dns name

That's super weird. The A record is just translated to an IP. So it should work, qBittorrent has nothing to do with that honestly.

It is safe. https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/6559 https://github.com/flathub/org.qbittorrent.qBittorrent As you can see, the developer is Chocobo1 who is a recognized, major and well-known developer of the team. Re: Freezing on 4.3.8 and 4.3.9

In the name of science, I have downloaded now ~110GB of data with ~80M/s speeds and auto cache. qBittorrent is sitting on 42mb of ram usage now (bit increased since auto and not hard or disabled cache.) The cache/ram usage of course went up during download. But the point is, the memory usage went ba...

Re: Freezing on 4.3.8 and 4.3.9

Yeah, but it should be reproducible.
So if I download ~2TB of data, I should be leaking left and right... but no... that's why I'm curious what's causing it
