Re: problems with metadata and download speed

Your port forwarding is NOT okay. You need to open a static port to your PC from your router. Also if you use a software firewall, you MUST allow qBittorrent. You need to be an active, connectable peer to be able to use magnet links, to share properly, etc.

Re: How to update qbittorrent-nox on arm64 Debian?

PPA is for Ubuntu, not Debian.
But I found a thing like this, just a few hours ago.

https://github.com/userdocs/qbittorrent-nox-static

You may want to check that one out.
(I use Qt/desktop so not much use for me.)

Re: qBittorrent can't launch

So even if you wipe qBittorrent and ALL it's settings (mind you, there is a folder both in %APPDATA% and %LOCALAPPDATA%) it just won't run? Are you sure you were not using two monitors and maybe it's opening on the second screen? Could you check the memory usage of the qbittorrent.exe process when t...

I don't know, for me, libtorrent fails at the compilation step with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Configuration is all good.

Re: Not seeding downloaded torrent

Well, port forwarding IS router configuration. See: https://portforward.com What I usually recommend: - set up a static DHCP on router - set up a port by hand on router - set torrent client to said port That's 100%. If that doesn't work, you have to check your security software if you use a third-pa...

Re: [Solved] Slow Speeds on Ubuntu LXC qBittorrent-nox

I'm glad you found a "solution". On Ubuntu , I'd recommend using LXD. There is also Proxmos's own PVE (which is a layer on top of LXC, kinda like how LXD is a layer on top of LXC). And there is "systemd-nspawn". There is a bunch basically. I myself have been using LXD for years n...

Re: Qbittorrent disappeared

I'm using a relatively new computer problem-free but somehow today qBittorrent is no longer on it.... It's a "thing" now, Microsoft marked qBittorrent as a "PUA" (potentially unwanted software) and removed / disabled it. You can just grab the latest version, reinstall it and you...

Re: Windows Defender flags qBittorrent as PUA

Known issue sadly. Didn't happen on any computer I manage/use but a friend had this on his PC. He simply downloaded it today again - and Defender no longer flagged it PUA. Probably there was a silent update or something.

Re: Move After Download

It's possible. 1) You have to enable the "incomplete download folder" Number (2) on the following pic: numbs.png Set a folder there, where you want your TEMPORARY files at. 2) You have to set your DEFAULT SAVE PATH to where you want your finished downloads. YOU DON'T NEED TO MESS WITH 3 an...

Re: Robustness of connection blocking if proxy down?

Since it only connects through the proxy, there is NO WAY anything will go through your normal IP/connection. That said, you must set things up properly. In settings, you can set if you want ONLY tracker connections to go through the proxy OR you want EVERYTHING to pass through the proxy. Of course,...

Re: WebUI port resetting to 8080

Well, workaround: Simply keep it on :8080 inside, but on your router, define a different port in NAT.
This way, the inside port stays 8080 but you can set it to anything outside.

Re: Search engine and menu bar

Hey hey. That is interesting. So nothing on the top bar on your screen? On OSX / Mac, the menu bar is always on the top. I haven't used Mac in a while, so can't confirm if this holds true even today, but that's how it used to be. (Sadly OS X emulation did not want to work for me either. In the past ...

It may be a bit overwhelming, but I recommend joining our Discord and then we can answer smaller questions in more of a real time fashion. IF you wish to pursue this. Don't feel overwhelmed though. It can be learned, just like anything else. And it's a good experience.
