Re: Gigabit connection but slow seeding

Thank you, Nemo, I will try this again in 4.0.2 (in 4.0.0 didn't worked). Fiber too - 300 DL/150 UL (Mb/s).
I will come back with some results.

LE: No, it didn't worked out for me...  :(

Re: Gigabit connection but slow seeding

Sorry, that's all I could do...

Again, I think (as a novice, of course) that in 4.x versions it's a big fracture between the qB's UI and the libtorrent core.
Many users noticed that modifying the parameters has no impact anymore on client's behavior.

Re: Gigabit connection but slow seeding
P.S: now, after settings changed according to your tips, also download speeds are slow.
I know, but I am first of all a seeder, so that doesn't bother me at all. The title of your post is also about seeding (as your Youtube video), so... Anyway, I watched your video and ...

Re: Gigabit connection but slow seeding

Your settings are totally wrong for your bandwith... 1. In the bittorrent section you must uncheck locale peers and torrent queuing. 2. In the connection section you must uncheck UpnP/NAT, limit the global connections to 4-500, connections per torrent somewhere to 20-50, check and limit upload slots...

Re: Having a problem. (Search feature)

Maybe I'm wrong on this one, but you can try to uninstall Python 3.5 and then install Python 3.4.3 or even 3.4.0 instead (of course with qB closed).

Re: Having a problem. (Search feature)

Backup your torrents and your qB settings, uninstall everything (Python, launcher and qB) as you stated above using a good uninstaller (I use Geek uninstaller, Revo would do also). Clean the registry using Ccleaner. Maybe a pc restart would be of some help. Then install 4.0.2 again. Exit qB and only...

Re: No search plugins on qBittorrent install

Right click on the "download" link, copy link address, then in qB plugins window select "Install a new one" and choose Web link. That's it.

Ctrl+A to select all torrents in the list, then right click on any of them, select "limit share ratio" and choose "set no ratio limit".
Thanks for your kind words. Im sure that the devs are doing their best over at Github.
Well... I'm starting to doubt about that. Re: Which to use: 32-bit or 64-bit version?

Just go with the x64 version, both (32 and 64) versions are buggy regarding the RAM consumption (at least for me), but x64 is superior in connectivity, speeds stability and few other things.
Also, regarding qBT's cache settings, I could only find "Enable OS Cache" [ON/OFF] in Setti...

Re: Waiting for qbittorrent, saving torrent progress upon reboot/shut down

You're welcome!

About this setting: index.php/topic,1783.0.html

In my last post I was trying to suggest to (temporarily) eliminate few of the causes of excessive connections that may have an influence on exit delays.

Re: Waiting for qbittorrent, saving torrent progress upon reboot/shut down

@h931 and saywhat Maybe a lower half-open connections number could be helpful... I have mine set at 10. You can try to disable DHT (at least temporarily). And also ipfiltering, if you're using it. It's a good idea to uncheck "exchange trackers with other peers" in advanced settings (not only for the...

Re: Alternative Rates/Stalled Torrents
As I do a lot of seeding overnight this is a big problem for me.
Then why are you using Alternative rate limits? Just cap the upload speed at a proper value for you.

Re: Waiting for qbittorrent, saving torrent progress upon reboot/shut down

I always exit qB with right-click - Exit. This is the way to avoid these forced shutdowns and rechecks.

Are you using OS cache? Try to disable it in Advanced section and see if the problem persists.
