Re: Windows tool for migration from Bittorrent/uTorrent/Deluge to qBittorrent

Hmmm, so no one has run any tests on the issues that I posted about last year?  Sad. Maybe it's not an issue if you don't currently use the pre-allocation and !ut extension, I don't know.  But I still feel it is something that should be looked into.  I won't be giving it another try until more testi...

Re: Question on Download Speeds?.

Either way, it doesn't seem that I'm getting any appreciable difference from QBT. That, combines with the issue of import failures on partial DLs and the issue of queued vs seeding, leads ne to believe that QBT is not yet ready for prime time, nor is it advisable to switch if you have unfinished DLs...

Re: Queued vs Seeding Question

I didn't realize that was an option.

I'm still, though, unclear as to the distinction - and why one is even needed.

Re: Question on Download Speeds?.

2.2.1 does not have the option to show any overhead - I only get the total up/down speed (in MB/s or kB/s).  IUp speed in QBT is ~100 KiB.  Seems like kB/s & KiB/s are the same thing.

Re: Question on Download Speeds?.

Just to add - I was able to (pretty much) successfully import all my uT 2.2.1 titles into QBT, HOWEVER, I get ZERO uploads, nothing.  If I shut down QBT and re-launch uT, my uploads are fine (just not very fast), but consistently more.

Queued vs Seeding Question

Ok, so I have imported all my ~2100 torrents from uT 2.2.1 into QBT.  NONE are seeding - they are all on QUEUED.  I have the correct port opened.  If I use uT, then I get uploads. What could be going wrong? Thanks!  (Overall I still kinda like the uT interface, but maybe that's just because I'm used...

Re: Windows tool for migration from Bittorrent/uTorrent/Deluge to qBittorrent

Ok, so I actually have both running to test things - I have NO connections with QBT, but I do with uT. I am concerned about the partially finished titles that apparently were reset to 0% and are re-downloading (especially those that are on ratio-based trackers).   Upon further examination - it appea...

Re: Windows tool for migration from Bittorrent/uTorrent/Deluge to qBittorrent

No, no errors were reported, but there were issues with some uncompleted titles - QBT set them back to 0%, even though some were at 97%+.

Re: Windows tool for migration from Bittorrent/uTorrent/Deluge to qBittorrent

Ok, upon re-reading your post, I ran JUST the EXE in the Downloads folder (properly named, of course) - it *appears* to be successful - at least the torrents it listed indicated successful.  It is taking quite some time for QBT to load (Not Responding but the mem usage is increasing) - ~2k torrents....

Re: Windows tool for migration from Bittorrent/uTorrent/Deluge to qBittorrent

Now I have the .torrent files stored in various locations.  I was expecting this to parse out the info from the RESUME.DAT file itself, so it knows exactly where the titles are stored.  I'm not sure I see the necessity for the original .torrent files (I hope I'm wrong).

Thanks!

Re: Windows tool for migration from Bittorrent/uTorrent/Deluge to qBittorrent

[quote="rumanzo"] Disappointed in the existing application on the ruby, which could not handle all my torrents, I wrote my own application on golang. I tested it on my own torrent database (3k+) and test torrents on Bittorrent/uTorrent clients (version 3+). Features : Processing all torrents Process...

Re: Question on Download Speeds?.

I'm curious about this as well.  I use uT 2.2.1 on PIA, and I have a 1gb up/down line - however, I'm lucky to get anything greater that 20MB/s on a DL, and greater than 3-4MB/s up - and usually <1MB/s up - it's pathetic.  I hate the higher versions of uT.

Re: Windows tool for migration from Bittorrent/uTorrent/Deluge to qBittorrent

How close, realistically, are we to having this functionality?  This is the ONLY reason I have not migrated to QBT - I have ~2k titles in uT 2.2.1.

Re: Status of importing uTorrent Resume.dat?

Well I'm happy to see that work is still progressing on this issue - it is about the ONLY thing preventing me from switching from uT.  The v3.4x uT builds have been SOOOO consistently screwed up lately it's not even funny.  It's like they have the 3 Stooges as developers.  Not to mention the ever-in...

Re: Status of importing uTorrent Resume.dat?

5300+???!!!  Ok, I thought *I* was bad with ~800! LOL, I don't feel so bad now.  Though 88 of those are currently unfinished, and some are from magnetic links, so having to manually match the download path for them would be a ROYAL pain. Glad to hear you're both making progress on things though!!!  :)
