Re: Implement random port rather than 6881 by default

Ah alrighty. Haven't seen it while scrolling then. If it appeared earlier on GitHub than this thread, I guess I'm sorry then. If not, then this thread fulfilled its purpose. You're welcome, no need to say sorry. I couldn't find it at Github so fast but ill take a look tomorrow and might open an iss...

Even the dumbest person should be able to use the program without any problems." Unfortunately, based on experience on two or three "torrenting" forums BT client protocol users tend to be even dumber in 'computer stuff'  than average, but are not willing to consider  that they might be. Re: Implement random port rather than 6881 by default

[quote="ciaobaby"] Not every ISP blocks or throttles port 6881 traffic, and sometimes it HAS to be the end user that takes responsibility for what they may have to do. [quote="Peter"] Keep in mind that most tutorials* for port forwarding tells users to forward the port 6881. Now I am curious on how you mean that expression. Could you explain it a little more please?

Re: qbittorrent 3.1.12

Just as a quick note. Dropbox unlikely is serving as a webseed. As far as I have heard, they even blocked that functionality for some reason (I did a little research as I was going to do the same, to back up some files). With µTorrent for example, you would get some "b0rked" failure (can't remember ...

Re: Can't add torrents from nyaa.eu

To me it sounds like you download the .torrent-file and it directly opens qBittorrent.

Did you try to just download the .torrent-files to your PC and open it from your Download directory instead of directly into qBittorrent?

Re: [official]qBittorrent 3.2.0 installer - Built with MSVC 2013

Thanks for releasing the new and awaited version! I tried out the beta for some time, but switched back as it was a bit unstable, but running the updated version I see that you guys made some important fixes and changes, which proves that qBittorrent is a reliable and stable program :) For now it's ...

Re: [POLL] Favourite Music Player?

As for me, I use Spotify for music I don't own, and VLC for music I have on my HDD. I used to use Nightingale (the continuation of Songbird, as POTI stopped continuing Songbird), but it somewhat corrupted all of my MP3s/FLACs. If Nightingale fixes that, some stability issues and also a little faster...

Re: [unofficial]qBittorrent git master builds: 3.2.0beta_20150329_c6bfcd0

Alright. So, first off, today I installed the beta the first time. So far, it's running fine, as the stable version of qBittorrent does. But there is one thing. When checking the trackers, I clicked on "Error" (which contains 17 torrents). When looking on the tracker of a torrent, every single track...

[quote="sledgehammer_999"] Apparently you didn't look in the settings (or you're using a really old version) Tools->Options...->Connection->Listening Port->Use different port on each startup PS: Of course this doesn't exclude 6881-6889, but it is unlikely that you'll randomly select that most of the...

Beh.

Hello. I actually have no idea why I should introduce myself, as I probably won't be a daily user on this forum. However. I am brot0, a daily qBittorrent user since some months. My little BitTorrent history begins back when µTorrent 2.2 (or BitTorrent 7.2) got released. Unexperienced and unaware of ...

Implement random port rather than 6881 by default

Hello there. I'm a fresh user, as you can see, and during the years I have been trying out various BitTorrent-clients until now. Currently I'm pretty much stuck with qBittorrent, and I'm happy with it. To come to my point: As I have seen it many many times, the default port that qBittorrent uses is ...
