Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

Please look at the bug report. As a temporary solution we decided to enable the os cache again and I uploaded a 2.9.0.1 build. This should fix the IO errors, but, as a sideeffect, when you force recheck a torrent on Win7 64bit it will eat all the RAM.

Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

The only difference in this build is that I link every external dll statically and I make one executable(qbittorrent.exe). For me, Comodo Firewall poped up a warning that the exe is malicious but I chose to report it back as false positive. I also have avast installed and it didn't throw any warning...

Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

@Nemo_0 Can you give me a link to a torrent that produces this error? What OS are you using? I got one torrent from ironcross and I was able to reproduce the error under WinXP sp2 32 bit.

Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

@ironcross What os do you use? Could you use more the 2.9.0? Does the I/O error appear when downloading a torrent and not seeding it?

The size is smaller because I link every lib statically. If you look at qbt's program files, you'll see only one executable.

Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

I spotted some regressions in my build. I have corrected the code and I am rebuilding now. I deleted the old build from sf, hopefully no one downloaded it.

Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

I just uploaded it to sf. Give it some time to propagate through the mirrors and it should pop up while running qbt 2.8.5. (or go to the site and download it :P)

Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

The 2.9.0 release is near. As for the random I/O errors, please open a bug report on launchpad, describing the situation-> When do you get it? Totally randomly? etc etc and anything else that may help. Also copy-paste the exact message from the "execution log"(torrent name not necessary). ...

Re: qbt 2.8.5 **msvc2008 build**

@s4nder yes that *is* the fix. Disabling the OS's cache because Windows sucks at it. The problem was with libtorrent not *actually* disabling it. But you say some form of caching is needed. I was under the impression that libtorrent had it's caching for this purpose... If you don't mind could you pe...
