You're probably using your whole uploadspeed which is causing the slowdowns.

What is your max uploadspeed? Try to set a limit and see if it helps.

Its probably allocating space that is needed causing some slowdowns. Once its done it should be normal again.

In the meantime there will be a few beta releases of v4.4.0 until it hits stable status. Its probably in use or running at the moment of installing thus can't write/update it. Make sure qBitorrent is fully closed first and retry.

Isn't it better to know before hand if there is enough space before starting the download? If not then free the needed space first and download it.

And does rechecking the torrent not working at that situation?
