Re: adding torrent to seed you already downloaded

Start downloading the torrent again. As soon as it's started downloading hit the pause button. Copy the files over that you already have, overwriting the newly downloaded stuff. Right click on the torrent name and select force recheck. Open the content tab to see if the files are being found. You'll...

Re: Dual-boot Windows: qBittorrent fried internet on W10

Try using TCP only in Qbittorrent. There's a problem with the Realtek controller and certain motherboards. Mine is a B550.

Someone suggested that uTP may be a cause. I haven't had any problems since.

Have you inadvertently hit the switch to alternative speed limits button? Your first screenshot has it set at 10 KiB/s.

Re: Search engine stopped working

Idea 1: Click View. Is Search Engine enabled?

Idea 2: Click View > Log > Show. Under the Execution Log tab is there an entry starting with Python detected?

Also the status of all my downloads is [F] from the beginning to the end.

This is the reason why. Right click the torrent and select resume.

Have no idea why force resume would always be on.

Re: when VPN loses connection qBit keeps going/reconnects and then I get DMCA threat

One of them is the VPN adapter.

Open Network and Sharing Centre > Change adapter settings (top left) > Right click the one that says TAP-Windows Adapter V9 and rename to VPN.

You'll now get a new entry named VPN in Qbittorrent. Select this one and restart.

Re: when VPN loses connection qBit keeps going/reconnects and then I get DMCA threat

Advanced Options > Network Interface > Select the VPN interface and restart.

Qbittorrent will now only connect through that interface. If the VPN goes down, then Qbittorrent will drop all connections.

There's no need to do anything as all the files are moved to the new location.

Re: torrents not seeding and now all complete ?

You need to reset each torrent back to use global share limit.

Just highlight all the torrents, right click as per my previous post and change to global share limit.
