Re: I have a few questions if someone is kind enough to help :)
Hi 1/ I'm not aware of any paid QBT app (but might exists). The app should be able to connect from outside with a port forwarding on your router, but this is weak and dangerous regarding the security. A VPN or reverse proxy may be the best choice. 2/ there are some topics about this on the last vers...

Re: Raspberry Pi ADD optional repository with Latest Version
It will. Mine is booting from an mSATA SSD (cheap) and writing to another USB HDD. We can discuss the setup but about the USB enclosure try to take ones with ASMEDIA chipset. It will ease your life :). The brand "ugreen" is most of the time built with ASMEDIA and is cheap. If you want to g...

Re: How to change path for a lot of torrents
Not sure this is achievable this way, but if you find the files concerned (should be in the profile path) the "sed" commande will work. As a less dangerous alternative please consider the usage of symbolic link (command "ln"). without any change the old folder will be redirected ...

Re: Raspberry Pi ADD optional repository with Latest Version
Well it will lead to problem. A PPA may use libraries of Ubuntu hence is specific per Ubuntu release (PPA address changes). I did it in the past with Debian and PPA. It worked but at some point a library was needed (coming from Debian). Easy to solve but the problem was time consuming with the relea...

Re: Raspberry Pi ADD optional repository with Latest Version
hi,
I use Ubuntu desktop for ARM64 (officially supported) on my RPI4 only for this reason: being able to update through the official PPA repo
Add the PPA to ubuntu (explanation on the website) and that's it.
RPi OS is more optimized for an RPI but Ubuntu is not so bad. give it a try

Re: Recommended way of upgrading qbittorrent-nox
QBT has some dependencies with libtorrent version, but from 4.3.9 you should not be at stake.
the best place for info is maybe the PPA and the associated versions

Re: Is it really turned off???
Requesting QBT closure doesn't not kill it. Mainly tasks in the cache are requested to ends and some delay may occur. Hardly minutes however, one or two at most with the standard config is my best guess.

Re: qBittorrent dries the entire internet even with small bandwidth
Hi, What's the CPU usage on the router during a d/l? The number of connections kills as sure as the bandwidth so you may try to reduce the total number in QBT, but I agree the router should be able to handle it. - Is the router updated? - Did you tried the QoS enabling to mitigate the problem? If by...

get this already with Debian and another client. Not a real issue but it may be related to dropped packet, the SNMP counter was for me pointing to this cause. And indeed it was the case, too many connection for the setup I used. Not a problem and I ignored it

Re: downloads gradually slow in speed then stop
all fine indeed, system disk is not involved.
have you tried a download on the system disk already? The idea is to bypasse the USB.
Alternatives are Sata or SMB if possible, or at least a different USB enclosure with a different chipset. The system disk is the easiest of course

Hi,
The name of the VPN interface may have changed. Start your VPN and check the QBT>preferences about the NIC in use

Re: my reshare is stuck at 99.8?
The content of the torrent is not the same, the jpg/nfo are different or not the same.
Either the source/destination torrent have not the same content (not trying a cross seed?) or if you make the .torrent yourself you selected the file instead of the whole folder

Hi,
with the VPN activated, is the setting of QBT configured to use the right network card? Usually a NIC named TUNxxx

Re: downloads gradually slow in speed then stop
Yes it will have an impact. If you're suspicious about the system disk you can try: #check the disk (more steps may be provided if anything found by the command) chkdsk c: #check the SMART status of the disk with any tool, diskinfo from Crystaldiskinfo for example #check os file corruption sfc /scan...

Re: downloads gradually slow in speed then stop
You may have mentioned it but it slipped out of my attention: the destination disk is an USB drive, correct? This introduce more variables (firmware, enclosure controller, etc.). But a recent change occurred in Windows regarding the removal policy of the removable drives. The way the cache is used m...
