Re: Background instead of closing and new feature
Which version are you running?
Which OS X are you using?
If you give me some more information I'll check things tomorrow on the mac machine.

Re: Online all the time!?
I like qBittorrent as well. But you can't have everything all the time. rTorrent is the thinnest without any webUI running. Only a few megabytes (at most!). So yeah. Maybe a Transmission-daemon (due to RPC) would be lightweight as well. But qBittorrent falls out of that since we need Qt, we need a w...

Re: Translations on Transifex
I promised to work on the translations, and I didn't forget.
How are things looking on this front? Did they reply? How do we translate at the moment?

Re: qbittorrent crashes after about 30 seconds
We could make the installer check for this, right Sledge?
(Seems like a good idea on Windows...)
And @IcYhAwK: thanks for the information. It's really valuable if we have exact stories/steps to repro.

There are also admin devs on the forum, and they will stop by sooner or later.

Re: Some questions.
Well of course we can change colors like that, but it's not a settings you can modify (that's what Nemo meant). You could compile your own version with black colored text for example. (But for a global change, someone like Sledgehammer needs to make a decision and submit the modified code.) Make a t...

Re: qBittorrent - Windows vs Linux
Same codebase, same features. Windows side only got the installer work added to it, but that's all. So you would get the exact same thing. What system should you use? That's up to you. If you have free time, if you love to tinker around, use Linux. It will use up your free (and sometimes even not s...

Re: Online all the time!?
You are right, it's a typo in that command. (well, not a typo. I had a VM without X. While I did try out the commands, I didn't copy-paste them, sorry. (The wget command would fail anyway if there is no such dir.))

Re: Online all the time!?
Something is messed up with your qbittorrent-nox-daemon file.
Try to download the file and check it with Notepad++.
(It complains about the very first line.)
Try downloading the file with wget, instead of copy-paste it with a text editor or something.

Just because you prefer X over Y, does not mean X is any worse.
Check out the homepage, it looks perfectly fine.

Re: qbittorrent crashes after about 30 seconds
Why there is an auto-restart feature? Because the average Joe have no idea how computers work. Imagine if they would never, ever use patches. And the whole world would just become a huge botnet. The situation is bad even like this, but I can't imagine the damage that would cause. Sure it's annoying ...
