Re: [linux] Best way to install qBittorent on remote server
Guess you cant create torrents, but you can use mktorrent or anything like that (even transmission-cli) to create them (maybe headless also supports it). About VNC. You know.. people not really tend to keep it on screen 0-24. Usually when I need to remove/stop/add torrents, I open it, set all up, an...

Re: Topic, forum structure
The problem is.. we already have all the sub-topics listed on the other sites. The only exception is the bug / software related stuff, but Chris asked me NOT to open such topics, and leave that for Launchpad. Guess it's way more comfortable than struggling with it here in the forums. But as I said, ...

Re: [linux] Best way to install qBittorent on remote server
The automated script is for build purpose. Do you use the latest version? i.e.: The PPA? If yes, then maybe FreeNX is the problem. If you are fine with headless/webUI, try running qBittorrent headless (I never tried it so far, but it supports that). If it's still not working, maybe you could install...

Personally I don't think grand totals are being recorded. You may want to report is at a bug and Chris may consider adding this feature.

Just paste the logfile to pastebin.com or you can attach it here also. Feel free to use the in-built stuff, the forum if here to help the users. Just Upload Attachment and there you go.

Re: [LINUX] Compilation error: undefined reference to `libic
Well.. It was some time in the past.. but when I was using make/./configure (was using Gentoo as main OS), I had to write CFLAGS at the first part. So: CFLAGS=-liconv ./configure --prefix=/usr CFLAGS=-liconv make -j6 sudo make install And so on. But ..are you sure "-liconv" is a valid flag...

Re: qBittorrent Needs A More Modern Look
There is a good experience about this. NEVER mix developers with designers. Just check out linux.com T-shirt contest, Debian CD contest, whatever. Whenever a dev tries to create a design the world starts to break down. ^^^
Guess the team will need some designers.. beats me.

GZip compression
Enabled the GZip compression. It should be lighter on your bandwidth, the page should load faster and the whole forum should eat less bandwidth overall. For me, the page takes about ~1.4sec to load totally at worst. Hope it's that fast at you also. If you experience problems, please let me know and ...

Re: [Linux] Prioritize rare pieces
Good question. I checked the libtorrent-rasterbar issue tracker but couldn't find anything like this.
You can try opening a new ticket there. Once the developer accepts it and implements your idea, you only have to wait for qBittorrent team to add this feature.

Re: [WIN] Prevent standby while torrents are active?
Just open a wishlist ticket on Launchpad. It's not that hard to add this feature I guess. The problem comes with the cross-platform thingie. Windows is nice in this meaning, you can code it and it'll work .. okay.. 99% it'll work. On Linux.. you have so many different options and maybe only 1 works ...

Re: [WIN] Fastest client so far
Ah no I'm not a dev and I don't think there is a need for devs. I mean.. I'm experienced in Qt. But Christopher and his team is just spitting out the new releases. Guess the help would be needed at libtorrent-rasterbar .. but I don't have actual experience with coding libtorrent like applications.

Re: Topic, forum structure
I've been following the forum every day. Now I missed out a 1-2 days..and what do I see? Things became a bit more lively. :) Uhm.. yeah. I meant.. please post here if you have ideas about what topics/categories should I create. (Also Christopher can do this but..guess he is busy with writing qBittor...

Fastest client so far
I was really surprised when I saw the new Windows download option. In the heat of the moment I just grabbed the pack. Installed it. On my PC I usually have a few clients like uTorrent, Vuze, BitTorrent. (Sometimes the uTorrent crew screw up the whole app. Vuze is just so heavy I don't really like to...
