created a forum account last week but it got deleted

What did I do wrong? I just recreated it with the same exact info.
You haven't done anything wrong. Recently the site went down and had to be restored from a backup. A small period of time between the backup and the site going down had data that was not recovered, and this likely was when you created your account.
Things like account deletions and bans would result instead in an email being sent to you with the reason and the account would not be re-registerable.
