I think it would be helpful to have some more information about peers. For example, some bittorrent software will allow you to see peers that you have attempted connection to at some point (and peers found in trackers, DHT, peer exchange, etc.). It will also let you manually connect to them, and let you see the exact reason why a connection has been stopped. I find this fairly helpful for troubleshooting or getting a good idea of the health of a swarm. Are these ideas bad? What do people think?
