[Solved] Latest versions doesn't works

Post by ironcross »

There something wrong with the latest versions - 2.4.9.1 and 2.4.10. When i start QB usually the upload starts immediately. But when i installed 2.4.9.1 - no upload; 12 hours and 0 upload. Same settings, same torrents and zero upload. That's impossible, because i seed many things - programs, movies, games, TV shows and there is always someone to download them. Usually when i seed my upload is always to the max. OK, installed back 2.4.9 and the upload started immediately; no problems. Now i installed 2.4.10 and surprise - no upload again. Installed again 2.4.9 and upload starts immediately. OS - Win 7 Pro N.

Apparently you are not the only one: http://bugs.launchpad.net/libtorrent-ra ... bug/674867

This is probably a bug in libtorrent (not qBittorrent itself). I have notified the author and I have waiting for a fix to make a new release.

Can somebody provide some more details of what the problem is?

Does it affect only seeding torrents or downloading torrents as well?
(i.e. are downloading torrents not uploading anything either?) If it
affects downloading torrents I would imagine the download rate would be
quite crappy.

Are there any peers connected at all on the torrents that are affected?
Are there any peers connected that are "interested"? (i.e. the
interested bit set).

Are there any peers that have been unchoked by qBittorrent on the
torrents that are affected?

Is the upload rate literally 0? Is there any upload going to a handful
of peers, but it's just lower than previous versions?

Works all flawlessly here, no upload problems while downloading and seeding.

To be honest I didn't even watch qBf's upload. I thought everything goes perfectly since I just leave my PC here if I upload something. (Of course I talk about linux distributions.. *shwoosh*)

After Ironcross pointed out the issue and saw the bugreport , I checked it and yes.. it is slow.
Don't know if I can help investigating if I use a virtual machine ... since I dont have freebsd installed as a main operating system at the moment.

For the protocol - 2.5.1 works great 8-) No upload problems, the seeding starts immediately and quickly reach max. speed.
Thanks a lot :D

Just go to download section of the site:
http://qbittorrent.sourceforge.net/download.php
It's available for download already.
