Hi,
I've reinstalled qbittorrent recently & I'm trying to reseed the torrent files to avoid knackering my ratios on torrent sites but I can't find the torrent files anywhere. I've looked through some of the threads on here & am being told that they are here: C:/Users/YOUR_USER/AppData/Local/qBittorrent/BT_backup but
a) my user file doesn't have an AppData folder
b) the only AppData folder on the system doesn't have the sub folders
c) Running a system search for BT_backup produces no results
Can anyone help?!!?
Thanks
Where are the .torrent files!?

Re: Where are the .torrent files!?
What OS are you running?
Have you already uninstalled qbittorrent? If yes, did you check "remove configuration files" too?

Re: Where are the .torrent files!?
AppData folder is usually has a hidden attribute. On XP the path may look different, something like C:\Documents And Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data
For reference: see "Application Data" and "Local Application Data" at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_f ... irectories

Re: Where are the .torrent files!?
I'm running Windows 7, Home Premium.
Not uninstalled yet, I wanted to make sure I could get at the torrent files first.
Have checked for a roaming file as per the wiki entry but nothing there.

Re: Where are the .torrent files!?
On WinXP, .torrent files are saved here:
C:\Documents and Settings\*****\Local Settings\Application Data\qBittorrent\BT_backup
The files are only stored temporarily though, so they get deleted when they're removed from your transfer window.
..Also, the file names in the BT_backup folder are encrypted, so it's hard to tell what's what in there.
If you really want to save your .torrent files, you should specify it here:
Tools > Options > Downloads > Hard Disk > Copy .torrent files to
C:\Documents and Settings\*****\Local Settings\Application Data\qBittorrent\BT_backup

They're not encrypted. They're named after torrent hash.
P.S. You can also try pasting
directly into address bar

Oh, never noticed that.
I save my files manually.
