Torrents Not D/L, stuck at "Dowloading Metadata"

Post by Splat »

Win7U64b with qBittorrent v3.1.11.  I'm getting some torrents not d/l. I start them and they sit at "Downloading Metadata". Tried pausing/starting, delete and add the torrent, restarting qB, all without luck. Anyone else with this problem?

on Options -> Advanced check "always announce to all trackers"

on Options -> Downloads check "Display torrent content ..."

Reload the magnets and wait for the metadata to load THEN click OK.

I have the always announce to all trackers already checked, however "Display torrent content ..."  should not be required to fix this issue. I will try it out for the helluvit next time I get the problem and see if that fixes it.

True; However, the "add new torrent" dialogue is not subject to any queuing or rate limit restrictions, whereas once they are loaded, they do become subject to the queue setting and limits..

I had the same problem,

what worked for me was the following.

options -- connection ---

on the first row says port used for incoming connections

just click the random button on the right.

hope this works for someone else too

Regards!

Just verifying this fixed it for me (version 3.3.10 though :) .

Can well go a year between torrenting (doing it since the dawn of time though) and every damn time whatever worked last never works out of the box. You always spend an hour (or a few days) switching torrent clients, checking VPN settings, ports, firewalls, avast etc. Well, this comment made it just one hour this time, tyvm.

And figured out why my PC slowed down to a crawl as well, qbittorrent has the darned Hydralib that dumped 4G of permissioncopy folders into my temp directory. Well, maybe I should upgrade but newer versions just have too many bug reports.

Sorry about the rant :D

(ggggngh, click 50+ times recaptcha in use here as well - aaaaaargh)
