Possible crypto-miner detected

Post by rogeriodec » Fri Sep 27, 2019 1:54 am

I have Acronis True Image 2020 installed on my Windows 10 and it contains the Acronis Active Protection which is a Ransomware Protection software.

It's accusing qBittorrent to have a crypto-miner in it.

Who is wrong? Acronis or qBittorrent?

qBitTorrent is open source software...and free too.
Are ALL versions of qBitTorrent detected as having a crypto-miner?

So it's once again another example of...

"Chilling effects on qBitTorrent... (AV false-flagging qBitTorrent!)"
https://qbforums.shiki.hu/index.php/topic,5165.0.html

...But it would be helpful to know whether ALL versions of qBitTorrent are flagged as "Possible crypto-miner detected" to know how mad to get at Acronis.
And in any case, report back to them that they're false-flagging legit software.
