4.2.x doesn't work for me, but 4.1.9.1 works fine.

4.2.x doesn't work for me, but 4.1.9.1 works fine.
If I use qBittorrent up to and including version 4.1.9.1 it works pretty well aside from lately occasionally having some torrents getting stuck downloading metadata, which after restarting the program immediately begins downloading of those previously stuck torrents. HOWEVER, if i update to 4.2.x then any partially downloaded files will be in a stalled state and remain there, and any new torrents added will get stuck at downloading metadata and never get past that state. DHT nodes is stuck at 0 when on 4.2.x but I get plenty on 4.1.9.1. If i revert back to 4.1.9.1 everything is once again fine. Any ideas?

After digging around a bit it seems the problem is related to the fact that im using a Socks 5 Proxy, but this issue seems to of come about way back in December and still no fix? I saw some merged threads on the issue on GitHub but no solution was posted.
