I am on a VPN that has a range of IP's. At times the VPN goes down and moves my IP out of that range leaving my torrent activity out in the open.
I am trying to use the Optional IP Address to Bind to in the advance options.
In the Optional IP Address to Bind to, it is sitting on All Addresses. From the pull down, I select my current IP, apply changes, and reboot. QBittorrent works as intended.
To test it I change my IP address, and reboot.
I now go back into the Advanced options. The Optional IP Address to Bind to option has moved back to All addresses. The original IP address that I set to is not in the pull down, but the new IP address is in the pull down.
What I am looking for is to bind Qbittorrent to a specific IP address which should make Qbittorrent stall if it is not connecting on the original IP Address,
What am I doing wrong?
