Can search but won't download/version 4.2.2

Hello,
I have not had this problem before in previous versions....I am able to search for torrents, but when I double-click to start downloading, nothing happens (file has plenty of seeders). The box doesn't pop up to search for metadata, it doesn't go to the Transfers tab, nothing. Are there some settings that may have changed that I am not aware of? I'm using Windows 10, downloaded most recent python, I'm using most current version of Private Internet Access. The only thing I had to change was to add a new search plugin (torrent project is active).
Any help would be appreciated...please not too technical and be as specific as you can.

Please, do a port forward with PIA: https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/h ... -on-my-vpn

You need that to be able to download "metadata".

I have this problem too. I have never used PIA before with my VPN provider - as an idiot, are there any simple instructions and do I have to pay for another service?
