TOR Proxy

Post by shady »

I have discovered that Torrent is blocked in my country. I saw an online tutorial suggesting to use a free vpn service to only initiate the torrent and establish connection with the peers, then swtiching to the normal internet connection because the free VPN has a limited quota for the free accounts. Unfortuantely, even that free VPN service is blocked for some reason in my country, so I can't use it on my machine. But the TOR Project works. Can I use it as the SOCKS5 Proxy on qBiTTorrent?

I have tried to configure it with the qBittorrent, but it doesn't seem to work. I ran the Tor Browser, in the logs it started the connection on the localhost and port 9150. I pluged those in the qBittorrent in the Connection tab, under Proxy server but nothing worked. Am I missing something?
