Windows XP

Post by tekkaman » Thu Apr 16, 2020 1:02 am

Hello,

I wanted to know which versions are still compatible with Windows XP. I'm currently using version 4.1.5 on Windows XP 64. It's prompting me of newer versions but I don't want to try without making sure.

Welcome,

Im not quite sure from which version the XP support has been dropped (around v4.2.0 somewhere if im right..).

Or you can upgrade to W10 and use the newer versions. Connecting to the internet and using P2P on an outdated OS isn't that safe in my opinion.

Is the last version for XP mentioned somewhere like a faq or changelog ?

Yes.

"qBittorrent v3.3.11 was released. There are a few WebUI security fixes.
This will be the last release in the v3.3.x series. Next release will have a new icon theme(at least) and will drop Qt4 support. Also Qt 5.7.1 seems to be the last release supporting Windows XP. It is unknown how long I am going to still support it."
