Tries to redownload torrents instead of forcing Recheck

On other Torrent clients I have used, usually if I add a torrent that I have partially downloaded a long time ago, they immedietly recogonise that and start a recheck, and then resume downloading the rest of it. But when I add a torrent like this with qbittorent it just starts re-downloading the torrent as normal? maybe overwriting my partial download I don't know. I am doing something wrong?
