Migration from Win8.1 to Win10 laptops

Help! Trying to move 600gb of files from old laptop running qB v3.3.13 using "C" drive for downloads to a new laptop using Win10 with an installed additional secondary 2tb SSD "D" for file storage using the latest qB version. I thought that by programming qB to send files to new drive would automatically propagate it with the files I installed. Wrong. Any ideas?

Right click a torrent -> set location. ?

No, I was told in a different forum that since the file was originally started and stored under my old laptops drive "C" that qB cannot recognize it now that it's being stored under drive "D" in my new laptop. I was told I'd have to change each file manually but when asked how there was no reply. Right clicking won't change a thing.
