Torrent download links DONT automatically start....

I recently built a new PC and put Qbittorrent on it. For some reason now when i press a download link it downloads the bittorrent file to my HD which i then have to double click to open it in qbittorrent. On my old PC if i clicked a download link it would automatically start up in bittorrent. Is there a setting I missed that will make that work?
