Googled but cant seem to find a way to do this.
If i want to move qbittorent to my drivepool folder,
would it be enough just by copying the qbitorrent folder in program files (x86) ?
There seems to be a file in appdata as well but its small.

No, don't move the installed program itself.

qBittorrent consists of three folders:
The installation folder:

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\qBittorrent\ (64-bit)
C:\Program Files (x86)\qBittorrent\ (32-bit)
And the actual data / setting files. You need to BACKUP these.

Code: Select all

%APPDATA%\qBittorrent
%LOCALAPPDATA%\qBittorrent
The things that take up space are the download folders. You simply have to go into settings and adjust those in Downloads.
The config folders and qBittorrent itself WILL NOT consume much space at all and it'll work more reliable.

The size isnt the issue, i'm just trying to separate third party program and my OS for backup reason.
So there is absolutely no way to make it portable?

Just tested this, idk why but after a while its automatically closd, and when reopen, it wont retain the settings.
So no other way?

You sure this "Drivepool" is "safe" to run programs from?

Why wouldnt it be safe?
Its got deduplication feature as well

I ended up installing in drivepool folder, but the appdata remains in C.
Any chance in future version to completely make it portable? It's possible already with utorrent.
I'm using both now.
