BSOD/freezing

Post by RaggBear »

I have been getting freezing and BSOD when running qb. I have windows 7 64bit desktop PC. I have malwarebytes premium and i used to have Kaspersky internet security which i removed and canceled subscription but still having BSOD/freezing issues when running qb. It occurs within 1-2 mins of running qb
Could someone please help. This crashing is ONLY occurring when i run qb.
Thanks

You should analyze the BSOD itself.

On Win7, you need:
1) WinDBG from the SDK
2) set the symbol path
3) open the MEMMORY.DMP (I usually copy it out somewhere each time I have a crash so I can later analyze it.)

Thanks for your response peter. I have solved issue myself today. I removed kaspersky with their removal tool however a driver remained. I have disabled this driver and now all good.

Yeah, honestly, in 2020, I don't know what AV vendor is "good". I found Bitdefender to work more or less. AVG / Avast was also OK (free) but it messed with my files often so I had to make a lot of exceptions.
